On the evening of November 21, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, in coordination with the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, held the Hanoi 2025 International Cultural and Art Exchange Program at the cultural space of Ba Kieu Temple, within the Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian area. The program aimed to build cultural bridges while honoring love for homeland, country, and people; to introduce and promote the distinctive cultural values of Vietnam and other countries; and to demonstrate Hanoi’s orientation toward advancing cultural diplomacy, thereby promoting the image of the Capital – the City for Peace – to friends around the world.

Attending the program were ambassadors and deputy ambassadors from countries including Palestine, Argentina, Laos, and China, along with representatives of the embassies of India, Cambodia, Mongolia, the Philippines, and others; leaders of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports; the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations; representatives of international organizations; and a large number of residents of the Capital.

The program contributed to strengthening cultural diplomacy, expanding external exchanges, and promoting international cooperation.

The Hanoi 2025 International Cultural and Art Exchange Program also reaffirmed the role of the Capital in the process of international cultural exchange and integration

The program consisted of three parts. Part 1 – “Hello Vietnam” extended a respectful greeting to international friends, introducing the distinctive beauty of Vietnamese culture which is rich in identity, emotion, and vitality. Audiences enjoyed performances imbued with national spirit, traditional musical instruments, and evocative images of the homeland, conveying messages of hospitality, friendliness, and respect toward international guests.

This was also an opportunity to broadly promote the image of Hanoi – a thousand-year-old Capital rich in traditional identity, dynamic and creative – to international friends.

Part 2 – “Cultural Bridge” opened a space for artistic exchange among nations. Diplomatic representatives, artists, and international friends came together to share stories of cultural diversity, respect, understanding, and connection. Art served as a bridge bringing people closer through distinctive performances that introduced the cultural beauty, music, and spirit of each nation.

Delegates presented flowers and took commemorative photographs.

Part 3 – “Melodies of Connection and Sharing” featured musical pieces conveying messages of peace, love, and global solidarity.

The Hanoi 2025 International Cultural and Art Exchange Program not only fostered mutual understanding but also affirmed the Capital’s role in international cultural exchange and integration. It further promoted the image of Hanoi – a thousand-year-old Capital rich in traditional identity, dynamic and creative – to international friends; reaffirming the values of the titles “City for Peace” and “Creative City”, as well as Hanoi’s image as a safe, friendly, and attractive destination.

Notably, in response to the appeal of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the program contributed 100 million VND to support residents severely affected by floods across the city.
