The Italian Film Festival 2023 in Hanoi promises to bring stories revolving around urban life, depicting Italy’s contemporary society facing new challenges while endeavoring to connect and preserve its traditional heritage.
Introduced by the Italian Embassy in Vietnam, the Italian Film Festival 2023 will take place at the National Cinema Center (87 Lang Ha, Ba Dinh, Hanoi) from November 27 to December 2, 2023. The event is organized in collaboration with the Asian Film Festival in Rome, aiming to provide the Vietnamese public with insights into Italy’s contemporary film industry.
During this occasion, six films will be screened, including “Il Colibrì” directed by Francesca Archibugi; “Diabolik” and “Diabolik: Ginko Attacks” directed by Antonio Manetti and Marco Manetti; “Settembre” directed by Giulia Louise Steigerwalt; “Leonora” directed by Paolo Taviani; and “Il ritorno di Casanova” directed by Gabriele Salvatores.
Through these remarkable films spanning various genres such as drama and comedy, many of which have received awards at prestigious festivals, the Italian Film Festival 2023 will deliver stories revolving around urban life, depicting Italy’s contemporary society facing new challenges while striving to connect and preserve its traditional heritage.
Film tickets will be distributed free of charge to pre-registered audiences through the Italian Film Festival 2023 fan page. Audience members can collect their tickets at Casa Italia, 18 Le Phung Hieu, starting from November 21 until supplies last.
Following each film screening, there will be a Q&A session for the audience with the Asian Film Festival director in Rome, Antonio Termenini. Additionally, director Antonio Termenini will engage in a conversation with Vietnamese guests on the theme “International Film Festivals – Organization and Behind-the-Scenes Stories” at 2:30 pm on November 30.
