Japanese cultural exchange in Hanoi has become a cultural exchange boosting the multilateral exchange and cooperation between Vietnam- Japan in general and Hanoi- Japan in particular.
The festival features Japanese cultural activities exchange, which somehow contributes to the propaganda, introduction and spreading of the image, cultural beauty, country and Japanese people to Hanoians. The festival is also considered as an occasion to foster the understanding, trust and solidarity between the two countries’ citizens and exchange experiences and cooperation in culture, education, public health, tourism and economics between Hanoi and Japan.
Accordingly, Japan- Hanoi cherry blossom 2019 encompasses events as follows: Selection of Cherry blossom goodwill ambassador of Vietnam 2019, Inaugural ceremony of Japan- Hanoi Cherry blossom festival 2019 at 20: 00 PM on March 29th 2019. In addition, the festival takes on the characteristics of activities exchange with Japan such as display cherry trees, cherry blossom and other unique flowers in Vietnam and Hanoi from March 29th to March 31st 2019 at flower garden in Ly Thai To Statue; organization of Japan cultural introduction including: tea ceremony, go, Shogi chess, Kendama… on octagonal house of Ly Thai To Statue flower garden; performance of Japanese Yosakoi dance; organization of Hanoi artistic program and auxiliary activities on Ly Thai To Statue flower garden, namely: ca tru, hat xam, mua bong, etc. and introduction of Vietnamese and Japanese art of flower carving and pruning…; Building booths to introduce Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine at Hanoi Children’s Place; Selection of cherry blossom goodwill ambassador of Vietnam; Planting cherry blossom trees in parks downtown Hanoi.

In addition, in the framework of the festival, there are numerous activities to exchange cooperation on investment and tourism promotion between Hanoi and Japan as well as experiences in management in the field of health and education between Japan and some Departments of Specialized Management and Hanoi’s operating facilities; Support, consult and make medical examination and treatment for some patients with serious diseases; Give books, equipment, directly support some activities according to the Japanese model and new technology.
Department of Culture, Sports and tourism acts as a standing body and is responsible for running the festival and coordinating with departments and agencies, Hoan Kiem People’s Committee and related units, Japan International Culture Association- Wanokai, and Advanced International Joint Stock Company (AIC), the organizing committee of the Japanese side to organize and implement the plan aiming to ensure legitimate execution …
