The People’s Committee of Long Bien District has issued the plan No. 207/KH-UBND on organizing cultural, arts, and sports festivals and competitions for children in Long Bien District in the summer of 2017.
The following district-level competitions will be held: Children’s singing – collective dance contest; Children’s summer book presenting contest; Children’s soccer competition; Junior aerobics competition; Children’s aerobics competition; Freestyle swimming competition.
The competitions are held to provide a healthy and rewarding playground for children during summer days, giving them a chance to express their talents in arts and sports, thereby to discover and foster art and sport talents to become key athletes and artists of the localities in particular and of the public arts, physical training, and sports movement in Long Bien district in general.
The People’s Committee of Long Bien District requires 100% of the wards and local residential groups to organize teams to participate in the district-level festivals and competitions. The festivals and competitions are aimed to examine and evaluate the wards’ organization of summer activities and to select excellent units and individuals to form the district’s teams to participate in Hanoi City’s festivals and competitions.
