The 14-day continuous drawing contest with the theme of COVID-19 pandemic was initiated by the team “Urban Sketchers Hanoi” from March 15 to March 29. It has been more than halfway so far but the contest has been enthusiastically attended by people of all ages, even 6 or 7-year-old children, who love sketching. Each person makes a picture per day, continuously for 14 days.
“Music or painting may not be food but the spiritual remedy for us to overcome difficulties more easily…” – With that spirit, the team “Urban Sketchers Hanoi” has 14 days to paint nice pictures expressing the colorful life on paper. Through the delicate brush strokes, Hanoi appears incredibly beautiful despite the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic around the world.
The works will be exhibited and auctioned in April. A part of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to COVID-19 prevention funds.
The pictures are mainly about the daily life of people in COVID-19 pandemic time, frontline forces fighting COVID-19, an isolated quarter, etc. and of course, the familiar images in Hanoi city.
