In his opening remarks, Tran Anh Tuan emphasized that the tournament aims to boost physical fitness activities, create a healthy recreational platform, encourage physical training, and improve workers’ health. Additionally, the event seeks to enhance communication and connections between companies in Hanoi’s industrial zones, while identifying outstanding athletes for city-level sports events.

The annual Workers’ Sports Competition for Industrial and Export Processing Zones is organized under the spirit “Healthy for Effective Labor and Production”. This year’s tournament, held on December 7-8, 2024, attracted over 400 athletes from 40 units competing in three sports: table tennis, badminton, and tug-of-war. Upon conclusion, the organizing committee will award First, Second, and Third prizes to individual athletes and team flags to the most outstanding units.
