Over the past time, the Women’s Union of Nam Tu Liem district has always identified the task of “Advocating and supporting women to build a prosperous, progressive, happy and civilized family” as one of its key tasks. Therefore, its emulation movements, campaigns and programs in recent years are aimed at supporting women to do the same. Due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, lives of many families in the district in general, and of its members in particular, faced many difficulties. With the spirit of solidarity, spreading love, sympathy, sharing, “Mutual affection, mutual love”, its staff and members have taken the lead in overcoming the consequences caused by COVID-19; effectively implementing many programs to support women and people affected by the epidemic, its members and their children who are in difficult circumstances. At the same time, in response to the Central Vietnam Women’s Union’s movement on implementing the programs on “Accompanying children”, “Godmother”, “Accompanying women in border areas”, the Women’s Union of Nam Tu Liem district at all levels propagated, mobilize its officials and members to actively participate in the programs. Up to now, the whole district has reviewed 104 orphans who have been provided with gifts and scholarships worth VND 92 million by its local associations.
On the day, the Women’s Union of Nam Tu Liem district honored and praised 12 typical families of its officials and members and rewarded its 6 groups and subgroups for their good propaganda on domestic violence prevention and control, making great contributions to its activities and local movements, and their achievements in various fields of work.
The Women’s Union of Nam Tu Liem district also awarded scholarships to 7 orphans with disadvantages in 2022 which were worth VND 42 million; awarded scholarships on “Taking children to school” worth VND 6 million in total to 10 disadvantaged children in the area.
On that day, 12 families participated in the program “Singing family exchanges”. They confidently expressed their family’s talents and wisdom to successfully complete the contest, and also exchanged and learned from each other and shared experiences in organizing a good life at home.
Within its framework, the Hanoi Women’s Union in collaboration with the Department of Health, the Sub-Department of Food Hygiene and Safety of Hanoi organized the Fair on “Exhibition and introduction of safe agricultural products and food”, attracting many businesses, cooperatives, business households from 18 districts in the city.
At the end of the day, the Organizing Committee awarded the Special Prize to a family from Dai Mo Ward, the First Prize to a family from Phuong Canh Ward, the Second Prize to families from Me Tri, Phu Do Wards, the Public security of the district and third prize for the remaining teams.
