The National Tuong and Folk Opera Festival 2025 will take place from November 17 to November 26, 2025 at Kim Ma Theater, Hanoi. The festival is organized by the Department of Performing Arts under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Vietnam Theatre Artists Association, the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi, and other relevant units.

The 2025 National Tuong and Folk Opera Festival gathers 14 meticulously staged performances, reflecting deeply social life, praising historical traditions, homeland, country, and Vietnamese people, honoring moral and humanistic values and the aspiration toward goodness, with the participation of nearly 1,000 artists and performers from 10 art units nationwide.
The performances participating in the festival ensure clear ideological themes, emphasize beauty and humanistic values, are forward-looking, and have positive impacts on social life, contributing to the development of a comprehensive Vietnamese citizen, inspiring aspirations for a prosperous and happy country, and promoting the cultural and human strength of Vietnam in the cause of nation-building and protection.
The festival’s award structure includes: Outstanding awards for performances and Outstanding awards for performers (1 male, 1 female); Gold and Silver Medals for performances and performers meeting the artistic criteria according to the Awarding Regulation. In addition, there are Outstanding awards for creative contributors such as: Scriptwriters, Directors, Composers, and Set Designers.
