The exhibition Hanoi in my heart 2021 with the theme Hanoi – Unforgettable days will be opened online on October 9, 2021.
Hanoi in my heart is an annual exhibition organized by the Economic & Urban newspaper and the Elderly Photography Club. Through 16 exhibitions, Hanoi in my heart has become the rendezvous of those who love the land of thousands of years of civilization and love the beautiful moments of the ancient land.
This year, the exhibition will introduce to the public more than 90 vivid photos, capturing the true perspectives of photographers and journalists about Hanoi’s memorable milestones in the days of implementing social distancing because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The exhibition is divided into 3 parts: Unity against the pandemic, Hanoi – The days of social distancing, Love of Hanoi people.
Part 1: Unity against the pandemic introduces to the public pictures of the spirit and action in each decision, the closeness with reality in the pandemic prevention of the leaders at all levels to the consensus of all levels, sectors and people of Hanoi. Some photos can be mentioned such as Secretary of the City Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung inspects the prevention and control of Covid-19 in Quoc Oai district (by author Nhat Nam); Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long and Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh check vaccination in Phuc Loi Ward, Long Bien district (by author Viet Thanh); Medical staff at Hanoi CDC all night doing tests for SARS-CoV-2 virus (by author Ngoc Tu), People queuing for their turn to vaccinate in An Binh City (by author Le Tuan Thanh), Installation of modern equipment for the field hospital treating Covid-19 patients in Hoang Mai district, Hanoi (by author Nguyen Quyet), etc.
The image of streets like Hang Gai, Trang Tien or Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, without people, is the “specialty” of Hanoi – The days of social distancing.
And, in the days of the Covid-19 pandemic, the life of the people of the capital was extremely difficult, but the Love of Hanoi people was still shining. Pictures such as Supermarket with 0 dong to the people in the village of Phao (by author Hoang Quan); Sending solidarity gifts in Giang Vo ward, Ba Dinh district (by author Thanh Hai); Transporting meals of gratitude to patients being treated at Bach Mai Hospital (by author Nguyen Van Hai); The program “Wife and computers to pupils”, etc. all show the beauty, caring and sharing hearts of the Capital people to help each other go through difficult days…
