The tournament was jointly organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, the Hanoi University and Professional Sports Association, and Phenikaa University, attracting the participation of 15 universities, academies, and colleges in Hanoi with more than 300 athletes.
The tournament attracted 15 football teams from universities, academies, and colleges in Hanoi.
This is a sports tournament included in the City’s Action Plan and is also the content of the implementation of the cooperation program between the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports and the Hanoi University and Professional Sports Association.

To accomplish the comprehensive education goals for students in the capital, universities have been actively enhancing sports activities in recent times. The majority of students in the capital select appropriate sports to engage in. Numerous school clubs have been established, and many intra-school tournaments have been organized. Cluster-level and regional competitions have also emerged, providing a healthy and enriching playground for youth and students.
The matches took place excitingly and attractively with the enthusiastic cheers of the students.
In his opening speech, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Pham Xuan Tai emphasized that the Capital Women’s Student Football Tournament is an opportunity for female students who love football to indulge their passion, discover their limits, experience the professional competition process, thereby increasingly perfecting themselves.
“Through the tournament, the Organizing Committee hopes that the youth and students of the capital will further strengthen exchanges, study, share the spirit of sportsmanship, contribute to promoting the movement of “5 Goods of Students”, creating a class of students who meet the criteria of “Good morality, good study, good physical strength, good volunteering, good integration”, maintaining the image of Vietnamese women with intelligence, health, dynamism, creativity, cultural lifestyle, kindness, caring for social and community interests” – Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports expected.
