Festival drumming, dragon dance, and artistic performance welcome
The Van Phuc Traditional Village Tourism and Trade Cultural Week has been organized four times. Starting in 2013, Cultural Week has become a signature event, helping to spread the traditional cultural values and diverse service offerings of the locality to domestic and international tourists.
The 2024 Van Phuc Traditional Village Tourism and Trade Cultural Week is organized with the theme “Ha Dong Silk Village – Essence of Heritage”, comprising three main parts: The ceremonial section features a procession honoring the craft’s origins, “Van Phuc Connecting Heritage – Historical Sites”. The procession commemorates the merits of Thanh Hoang A La De Nuong – the person who established the hometown and taught the Van Phuc people the art of silk weaving. The procession includes three main groups: Revolutionary Tradition, Spiritual, and Craft groups.

The festival section features cultural activities, artistic performances, and traditional games taking place across various locations in the ward.
The trade and promotion section includes a cultural space showcasing Van Phuc silk. The ongoing activity throughout the Cultural Week is “Van Phuc – Craft Street”, aimed at introducing diverse and rich Van Phuc silk products, while also promoting Van Phuc tourism with new and unique business types such as ornamental plant flower markets, antiques, and local cuisine.
Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade presents the Decision recognizing the Creative Design Center for Van Phuc Silk Craft Village.
Through this Cultural Week, Ha Dong District and Van Phuc Ward hope to communicate and promote to domestic and international tourists the distinctive cultural characteristics of the Van Phuc silk weaving craft village. This contributes to preserving and promoting the National Intangible Cultural Heritage – Van Phuc silk weaving; enhancing promotional efforts for tourism potential; and linking sustainable tourism development with socio-economic development in the area.
At the opening ceremony, the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade presented the Decision recognizing the Creative Design Center for Van Phuc Silk Craft Village in Ha Dong District.
The Van Phuc Traditional Village Tourism and Trade Cultural Week will run from November 30 to December 6, 2024./.
