Va Temple is located in Van Gia village, Trung Hung ward, Son Tay town. With many precious cultural and historical values, the Va Temple was ranked by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 1964.
As planned, the festival will take place in 03 days of February 07-10, 2020. It is the biggest festival in the area of Doai. The highlight of the festival is the procession across the river in the early morning of February 8, 2020, with the participation of hamlets (residential areas) with the Holy Father Tan Vien Son relic in Trung Hung, Vien Son and Phu Thinh wards.
Accordingly, the procession delegation will be walking along the streets such as Van Gia, Ngo Quyen, Phung Hung, Pho Duc Chinh, Le Loi – Son Tay Port, then board the boats across the Hong River to the area of Ngu Doi Temple. Also, in the 3 days of the festival, there are many cultural activities, art performances and folk games….
The organization of the festival expresses gratitude for the merit of Holy Father Tan Vien – named as “Nam Thien De Nhat Phuc Dang Than” in the four immortals of the Vietnamese peoples. In addition to the huge merit with the people and the country, he also brought great results for the material, productive and spiritual life of the people such as teaching people to hunt, finding out a fire, combating drought, teaching people to sing and dance or to preserve species…
Apart from Son Tay town, many other localities in the former area of Doai own relics worshiping Holy Father Tan Vien and some of his holy brothers such as Nam Cung, Tay Cung in Ba Vi District, Lang Xuong Temple in Thanh Thuy district, Phu Tho and may more. These relics are always managed and promoted effectively by the government and people.
