The conference was organized to strengthen state management in the field of cultural institutions at all levels; evaluate the effectiveness of the activities of the cultural institutions system at all levels; define directions, tasks, and propose solutions for the next phase; and assess the implementation of documents on the cultural and sports institutions system at the grassroots level during the period from 2020 to 2024.

 Based on the assessment of the performance of the cultural and sports institutions at all levels in the 2020-2024 period, the Conference will propose solutions for the next phase.

The conference is expected to be held on November 8, 2024, in Hai Phong City with the participation of 300 delegates, including: leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; representatives from the Ministry’s agencies such as the Department of Grassroots Culture, Department of Sports, Department of Performing Arts, Department of Cinema, Department of Ethnic Culture; leaders from the People’s Committees and Departments of Culture and Sports, Departments of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of localities; representatives from the Department of Culture and Information from Hai Phong’s districts; representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the provincial level; and leaders from provincial-level Cultural Centers.

The conference will discuss major topics such as: evaluating the implementation of legal policies in managing and using cultural and sports institutions at all levels from 2020 to 2024, the advantages, challenges, and lessons learned; issues concerning policy advocacy and the implementation of legal policies for managing and utilizing cultural and sports institutions in the upcoming years (proposing solutions and recommendations); and informing about some new legal documents.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigns the Department of Grassroots Culture to lead and coordinate with related agencies and units to organize the event. The Ministry also requires that the organization of the conference be carefully prepared, practical, effective, and ensure close coordination with relevant agencies and units.
