Accordingly, in implementing the directives of the Party and State on organizing activities to commemorate the country’s major holidays, especially the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to coordinate and direct relevant departments and agencies to organize cultural and artistic activities, specifically:
Organize cultural and artistic programs, visual propaganda, exhibitions, etc., to inspire national pride, patriotism, and remembrance of the contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and preceding generations in the struggle for national independence and the nation-building effort.
Based on the actual situation in the locality, budget conditions, facilities, and regional characteristics, proactively develop plans to organize appropriate cultural and artistic activities that are practical, effective, economical, and safe.
Consider organizing fireworks displays to celebrate National Day, creating a joyful and lively atmosphere among the people, contributing to the spirit of solidarity and confidence in the leadership of the Party and State.
Strengthen propaganda through mass media, local information systems, social networks, etc., about the historic significance of National Day and the country’s achievements over the past 80 years.

“Hanoi – From the Historic Autumn of 1945” – a program organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports – will take place at August Revolution Square on the evening of August 15.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests that the People’s Committees of provinces and cities regard this as an important political task in 2025, paying close attention to the organization of activities to ensure practicality, safety, and effectiveness, creating a special impression on the occasion of the country’s major holidays, contributing to a lively emulation atmosphere, and moving towards the 14th National Party Congress.
