Phu Khang communal house situated in the heart of Phu Khang hemlet of Duong Lam village with its wide and open precint. The house started to be built since Le dynasty. And it continued its renovation at Nguyen dynasty to the larger scope and is remaining its remnants until today. The main items include an alter-curtain, a grand communal house, a back praying altar, a left curtain and right curtain which are all arranged within the close precint. Phu Khang communal house worships the divine of land guardian. Forefather Phan Khac Dich used to be a supervisor of Quoc tu Giam university during Le dynasty who had exploits of leading Mong Phu villgers to settle down at the site so as to set up Phu Khang village.
Together with worshipping the tutelary god of Phu Khang and the forefather – tutor official, Phu Khang communal house has also the ancestral altar for families’s predecessors, which are placed on the left hand side. For now, the communal house is still keeping the two King Khai Dinh’s titles (1924). Annually, the traditional festival often takes place lasting fro three days as of 13-15 January (Lunar calendar).

Due to its cultural, historical and architectural values, on 25 June 2020, Ha Noi People’s Committee issued a decision No. 2711/QĐ-UBND on the classification of Phu Khang historical and architectural relic.

The classification of Phu Khang communal house as Phu Khang municipal level historical and architectural relic will contribute to conservation and promotion of traditional cultural heritages values, educating the patriotism especially among the youth, meeting the religious needs of the local people./.
