Recently, the Hanoi Cai Luong Theater has presented numerous captivating artistic programs, attracting a large audience to traditional Cai Luong art. In addition to restaging classic performances, the theater has also produced new plays, reflecting the breath of contemporary life.
Since the beginning of 2025, the Hanoi Cai Luong Theater has organized many outstanding artistic programs to serve political tasks as well as cultural, artistic, and festival activities in the capital and several other provinces nationwide. Notably, these included special artistic programs for the Ceremony to Receive the Special National Relic of Boi Khe Pagoda, Thanh Oai District; the Ceremony to Receive the Special National Relic of Dai Phung Communal House, Dan Phuong District; and others.
In early March 2025, the Hanoi Cai Luong Theater held a series of programs titled Cai Luong – Quintessence of Vietnamese Art, including outstanding Cai Luong shows and cultural installation spaces showcasing Vietnamese culture to attract a large number of tourists. The Cai Luong shows of the Hanoi Cai Luong Theater were elaborately staged, recreating classic scenes, melodies, and tunes. The artistic space named Cham captured the beauty of Vietnamese culture and spirit. This event aimed to introduce and promote Cai Luong – a unique traditional Vietnamese singing performance – to international visitors.
At the program, the audience enjoyed a 45-minute excerpt performance of “Selling oneself to redeem one’s father” from the play Kieu.….
During March 2025, the Hanoi Cai Luong Theater also held dozens of artistic programs, including several exemplary plays and excerpts serving various localities in Hanoi as well as other provinces and cities such as Hai Phong and Bac Ninh…
