President Luong Cuong welcomed Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni at the Temple of Literature

In the ancient space of the nearly 1,000-year-old cultural and historical site, amidst the Garden of Stelae of Doctors, which houses the World Documentary Heritage and Vietnam’s National Treasures, President Luong Cuong and Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni toured the Temple of Literature. They were introduced to the history of Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, the 82 stelae of doctors, and the history of Vietnam’s education and imperial examinations.

Stopping at the oldest stele erected in the Temple of Literature for the examination of 1442, President Luong Cuong mentioned the famous saying, “Talents are the vital strength of the nation,” inscribed on the stele.

At the site, President Luong Cuong and King Norodom Sihamoni were introduced to the Four Great Famous Teas, including the ancient Suoi Giang Shan Tuyet tea, originating from Van Yen District, Yen Bai Province. This special tea is grown in a unique climate and soil condition, enveloped in mist year-round, and its cultivation, harvesting, and processing are meticulously carried out.

During the tea-tasting session, President Luong Cuong shared with the King about the tea culture and the Vietnamese people’s lifestyle closely tied to tea.
At the end of the tea party, President Luong Cuong presented tea to Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni.
