The City People’s Committee requires commemorative and welcoming activities, cultural exchange events and festivals be conducted synchronously, consistently, practically and effectively, avoiding formality and waste. In addition, it is necessary to strengthen and encourage the socialization of activities and ensure Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control conditions.
Using propaganda and commemorative activities to create the unity of the Party Committee and people of the capital in order to effectively implement the Party’s undertakings and guidelines, the State’s policies and laws; creating an atmosphere of joy and excitement, arousing national pride, contributing to the successful celebration of the 13th National Congress of the Party.
Commemorative activities are held to propagate and educate political ideas, historical and cultural traditions; to foster and promote patriotism, self-reliance, the spirit of great national solidarity in the cause of renovation and international integration, contributing to consolidating and fostering people’s confidence in Party and State.
The commemorative activities affirm the historical and spiritual significance of important anniversaries for the Vietnamese people in general and Hanoi capital in particular, such as 91st founding anniversary of the Communist Party Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2021); 131st birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2021); election for the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the term 2021-2026; 76th anniversary of August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2021) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2021); 67th anniversary of Independence Day of the Capital (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2021); 75th anniversary of National Resistance Day (December 19, 1946 – December 19, 2021) and other celebrations.
The City People’s Committee also requested propaganda by holding various activities in various forms in parallel with emulation organization to achieve the socio-economic targets in 2021.
