The document states that implementing the Work plan for 2020, on March 6, 2020, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 749/QD -BVHTTDL on the organization of the 6th Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF VI). With the slogan “Cinema – Integration and Sustainable development”, HANIFF VI will be held from November 4 to 8, 2020 in Hanoi.

HANIFF VI is organized to honor excellent cinematographic works and promote the cordial spirit of cooperation of filmmakers for the development of Cinema.
The 6th Hanoi International Film Festival includes the following programs: Contest film; World cinema panorama; National cinema spotlight: UK Cinema; Contemporary Vietnamese Film Program; HANIFF script-writing Camp and Filmmaking Project Market, Exhibition; Seminars.
With a good tradition of cooperation and the goal of building Hanoi International Film Festival into a cultural brand of Hanoi City, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the People’s Committee of Hanoi to comment on the 6th Hanoi International Film Festival Organization Project; direct related units to coordinate some specific contents: Sending representatives to participate in the Steering Committee, the Organizing Committee of the Film Festival; Assigning the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi City to be the standing agency of the People’s Committee of Hanoi to coordinate the organization of the Film Festival; Coordinating outdoor advertising and propaganda to promote the Film Festival; Organizing Gala Dinner to welcome delegates to the Film Festival; Organizing outdoor events within the framework of the Film Festival to promote tourism in the city and some other contents.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned the Vietnam Cinema Department to act as the standing agency to coordinate the organization of the 6th Hanoi International Film Festival.
Not only attracting the attention of a large number of domestic and international film lovers but Hanoi International Film Festival in recent years has also created a great opportunity to expand the Vietnamese film market to the region and the world, from that promotes the image of a beautiful Vietnam country through the image of Hanoi, a friendly and hospitable capital. For the sixth time held, Hanoi International Film Festival hopes to continue promoting the prestige built in recent years, attracting the attention of a large number of domestic and international film lovers, contributing to promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam in general and Hanoi Capital in particular to international friends. Since then, building the Film festival to become the own brand of Hanoi, contributing to the development of the cultural industry of the capital.
