In celebration of the Vietnamese family day (June 28, 2001 – June 28, 2017), on the morning of June 24, Ha Dong Center for Culture, Information and Sports organized the family badminton tournament 2017 to encourage people to take part in physical training activities in general and in the practice of badminton in particular to maintain and improve health.

Nearly 100 athletes from 14 units competed in 6 events of the tournament: husbands and wives, fathers and sons/daughters aged 56 or above, husbands and wives aged 46 to 55, husbands and wives or fathers and sons/daughters aged 36 to 45, and husbands and wifes under 35.
After more than 60 exciting matches, with the aim to increase exchanges and learning, as well as to tighten solidarity, the family badminton tournament 2017 had wrapped up successfully. The organizers awarded 6 first prizes, 6 second prizes, and 7 third prizes to winning pairs.
