To ensure that “no one is left behind”, “all needy people will be supported”, the District Military Command Committee, in close collaboration with the District Fatherland Front Committee, surveyed the number of families in difficult circumstances due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 16 communes and towns. Based on the survey results, the District Military Command Committee has purchased and delivered essential goods to each household.
The District Military Command Committee has so far organized 8 bus trips “Free stall” in Lien Ninh, Ngoc Hoi, Dai Ang, Thanh Liet, Ta Thanh Oai, Huu Hoa, Tam Hiep, and Vinh Quynh communes. 650 gift bags including essential goods and necessities have been sent to families in difficult circumstances, policy beneficiaries, unemployed workers, families of militia soldiers, and frontline forces in the difficult background in 8 communes (totaling more than VND 260 million from the socialization fund). In addition, the Military Command Committees of 16 communes and towns have also called for organizations and donors to give thousands of gifts to local people and families in the difficult background, and tenants who have been affected by the pandemic.
Given the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic, the District Military Command Committee will continue to organize bus trips “free stall” in communes and towns in the district, to share with and encourage households affected by the pandemic.
The meaningful activities of the Military Command Committee of Thanh Tri district demonstrate the love between the military and people and the cultural beauty of the capital’s soldiers in the new era, contributing to, together with all levels of government in the whole district, taking care of people, ensuring social security, and making people feel assured, trust, and support the pandemic prevention and control work in the area.
