Delegates stand at the thurifying ceremony in respect of teacher-celebrity Chu Van An at Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam relic.
Attending the event were Politburo member, City Party Secretary, Head of Ha Noi National Assembly Deputies Vuong Dinh Hue; Secretary of Central Party Committee, Director of Ho Chi Minh National Politics Academy, Chairman of the Party Central Committee Theoretical Board Nguyen Xuan Thang; Central Party Committee members: Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs-Chairman of Viet Nam UNESCO National Committee Le Hoai Trung; Deputy Ha Noi Party Secretary-Chairman of Ha Noi People’s committee Chu Ngoc Anh and other high-ranking officials..; representatives of scholars, intellectuals, pupils, students and people from all walks of life in Ha Noi; representatives of Chu families in Thanh Tri and delegates coming from a number of schools bearing the name of Chu Van An.
Also on hand was Mr. Michael Croft, Head of UNESCO in Viet Nam, Charge’s de’ Affaires and representatives of the international organizations in Ha Noi..

At the Anniversary, Chairman of Ha Noi People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh asserted that Chu Van An is the celebrity who has made great contributions to the cause of culture and education development of Dai Viet (Great Viet Nam) in the XVI century and has strongly influenced on generations afterward. He is the exemplary character of ethics, intellectuality and a high sense of responsibility for the Vietnamese people and country.

Over the years, teacher Chu Van An has become the symbol for the hard-working tradition and endeavours among the Vietnamese people to strive in their learning path.
Coupled with national hero Nguyen Trai, great poet Nguyen Du and President Ho Chi Minh, teacher Chu Van An is the fourth Vietnamese who has been accreditted by UNESCO. The special legacy he left to the inherited is the dignity of Chu Van An, the bravery of Thang Long scholar.
