Bach Nghe Ward, Mo Lao, Ha Dong. Bach Nghe Ward is a new creative space operating with traditional handicraft products.
Am Càkê (Lac Long Quan, Tay Ho District) revives traditional culture by recreating the traditional living space of the Northern region. Highlights include participating in folk games and experiencing hands-on crafting of wooden clogs.
Vun Art – a sustainable creative model. The Vun Art cooperative at No. 16 Pho Lua, Van Phuc Ward, Ha Dong District, has made its mark through creativity in all processes. Vun Art recycles silk village fabric scraps into artworks such as paintings, souvenirs, and bags, combining strong folk culture with a contemporary touch. This creates jobs for people with disabilities, contributes to environmental protection, and enriches traditional craft products. Currently, more than 30 people with disabilities work here, and Vun Art has helped them “emerge from their cocoon” by finding meaning in life. In addition, Vun Art organizes creative activities, offers experiential tours, and promotes its products at various other creative space.
Vincom Contemporary Art Center (VCCA) (Vincom Mega Mall Royal City, 72A Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan District) hosts numerous exhibitions and art activities, connecting artists with the community and the global contemporary art scene. VCCA aims to become one of the most important art centers in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Phuc Tan Forest Park: Following the success of transforming a landfill into a playground and forest garden in Chuong Duong Ward, the social enterprise Think Playgrounds (Rethinking Urban Playgrounds) collaborated with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Hoan Kiem District, the People’s Committee of Phuc Tan Ward, and the local community to convert a landfill in the ward (under Long Bien Bridge) into a forest park playground. In addition to providing a public space for residents, the forest park helps preserve and protect the ecological environment.
