Various initiatives have attracted active participation from a multitude of officials and union members, yielding tangible results that contribute to enhancing the awareness and sense of responsibility among officials and union members in environmental protection. These efforts aim to establish a living space that is increasingly green, clean, and beautiful.
Harnessing the role of women in environmental protection and responding to the initiative to create blossoming streets and roads, the Women’s Union in Tan Trieu Commune (Thanh Tri District) has undertaken numerous practical activities. These endeavors play a crucial role in improving the awareness and sense of responsibility of officials and union members in creating a living environment that is progressively green, clean, and beautiful. Among these, several exemplary models have garnered active participation from officials, union members, and the local population.

Under the slogan “Restoring the Ecosystem,” the Women’s Union in Tan Trieu Commune has disseminated information and mobilized union members to participate in the movement “For a clean environment, women and citizens of the Capital do not litter or dispose of waste on the streets or in public places.” The commune’s women’s union has sustained the environmental hygiene movement every Saturday morning on self-managed women’s roads. They have also engaged in planting and caring for trees and flowers in the model-style flower street section. The Executive Board of the Women’s Union in Tan Trieu Commune has proactively developed a plan directing union branches to implement the model “Collecting recyclables, protecting the environment” to raise funds supporting impoverished women union members and orphaned children facing difficult circumstances. In this regard, the model “Material Recycling” was implemented in Chua Hamlet, motivating officials and union members to plant greenery using recycled materials, contributing to enhancing the landscape and raising awareness among the residents about adopting a “green” lifestyle in the community. The Women’s Union’s “Waste Collection” club in the commune has already shown positive effects, not only generating funds to aid women in need but also contributing to elevating the awareness of women union members and the public in environmental protection, preserving green, clean, and beautiful village roads and alleys.

Recently, the Women’s Union in Tan Trieu Commune introduced the “Civilized Waste Station” model, urging officials, union members, and residents to sort waste for recycling, thereby contributing to environmental protection. The model is located at the Cultural House in An Hamlet and is managed by the Women’s Union branch in Trieu Khuc Hamlet. This model is a pilot point and will serve as a learning experience for future expansion throughout the commune.
With these practical models, the Women’s Union in Tan Trieu Commune plays a crucial role in environmental protection, contributing to the creation of a green, clean, and beautiful landscape and improving the quality of life for residents in the area.
