Thach That strives to achieve the target of 1 book per person in the district library system,04 books read by each person per year on average.
Accordingly, the district sets some goals to strive until 2025: Upgrade and invest in the district library system, library in educational institutions; bookcases at the facility; increase the access to and usage of information and knowledge, especially elevate the reading culture effectiveness; strive to reach 80% of students at educational institutions using the public library system regularly.
Focus on propagating, mobilizing and guiding people to access, use information and knowledge, elevating reading culture at public libraries and community houses to improve people’s intellectual standards and quality of cultural and spiritual life, access and use of information at the City Library system; encourage the development of private libraries, family bookcases, and study promotion bookcases.
30% – 40% of people are targeted to have skills to receive and use information and knowledge through reading; 70% of library users are skilled in receiving and using information and knowledge through reading to serve for learning, labor, research and entertainment.
Strive to reach the target of 1 book per person in the district library system and 04 books read by each person per year on average; 100% of educational institutions at all levels have libraries with appropriate documents. Among them, 100% of Primary schools, 90% of Secondary schools and High schools have libraries which meet the standards as prescribed; organize annual activities to spread reading culture, activities around books… to enhance book introducing activities and facilitate all classes of people in access to many genres of books.
Goals until 2030: People have a habit of reading and skills to access, use information and knowledge which serve learning, working, research and entertainment purposes. Reading culture development targets are maintained, strengthened and enhanced. Library and publishing activities are capable of meeting people’s reading needs (including electronic publications).
In order to accomplish these objectives, along with pushing up information dissemination to promote the development of reading culture in the area, Thach That district will focus on investing in and improving the efficiency of the library system, develop electronic libraries, promote the socialization of library activities, create habits, equip reading skills and methods for people, pay attention to investing in and improving the quality of human resources for reading activities, expand interactions in the field of library and publishing, connecting reading culture forms with the promotion of popularizing images of Thach That district.
