Thanh Xuan District People’s Committee issued a Plan for Action month on Gender equality, prevention and response to gender-based violence in the District’s area in 2022.
Accordingly, Than Xuan District will promote the dissemination, communication and education of policies on social security, gender equality, prevention and response to gender-based violence, especially those to support women and children affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Action month is a highlight, creating a communication campaign for gender equality, prevention and response to gender-based violence in Thanh Xuan District. This plan will withdraw attention, highlighting the roles, responsibilities and active participation of individuals, families, communities, authorities, and organizations in ensuring social security, increasing women and girls’ empowerment to promote gender equality, prevent and respond to violence and abuse against women and children, etc.

In order to well implement the Plan for the Action month on Gender equality and prevention and response to gender-based violence in the District area in 2022, the People’s Committee of Thanh Xuan District assigned relevant units and the People’s Committee of 11 wards in the district organize propaganda, dissemination and education of the law on gender equality, policies to ensure social security, the role of increasing women and children’s empowerment in promoting gender equality for people in general, women and children in particular; organize propaganda on topics, messages and activities in Action Month 2022 in plenty of forms such as hanging banners, slogans, billboards, propaganda posters; carry out propaganda on the radio system and via the ward’s communication force; promote communication in websites, online newspapers, social networking medium; increase the application of information technology in the propaganda of social security policies, the role of women, gender equality and prevention and response to violence and abuse of women and children; organize activities to support victims, women, children, disadvantaged people; praise typical groups and individuals in gender equality work; mobilize resources to implement the Action Month; increase the socialization of communication activities and support disadvantaged women and children, victims of abuse, violence, trafficking and exploitation; increase the inspection of the implementation of gender equality and for the advancement of women at authorities, units during Action Month; strictly punish the gender equality violation, carry out the prevention against gender-based violence and implement support policies to ensure social security in the district.
