The “Red Spirit at Ba Dinh” program takes place from August 30 to September 2 at the Truc Bach pedestrian street area and several nearby heritage sites and experiential spaces, including Quan Thanh Temple, Thuy Trung Tien Temple, An Tri Communal House, and the Ngoc Island – Ngu Xa night food zone.
“Red Spirit at Ba Dinh” is a meaningful tourism promotion and publicity event of the Capital, aiming to honor cultural and historical values, spread patriotism, awaken national pride, and affirm Hanoi’s image as a creative city rich in identity.

The program contributes to connecting destinations and introducing tourism products and routes in Ba Dinh Ward, thereby attracting an increasing number of visitors to the Capital and making a positive contribution to Vietnam’s tourism development as well as the City’s socio-economic growth.


Art performances at the program
Over four days, residents and visitors can experience a wide range of distinctive and innovative spaces and activities, such as: an exhibition space on Culture and History marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; “Memories of Old Hanoi Cuisine”; a series of independent art performances; the tourism tour “Heritage Train Journey”; and interactive activities including free water stations for hot days, check-in stations to receive the Vietnamese national flag, the “Preserve Your Emotions” station themed around Independence – Freedom – Happiness, and stations introducing and offering experiences in green tourism and digital tourism in Hanoi.
By joining the “Heritage Road” thematic activities, visitors can tour and offer incense at Quan Thanh Temple, Thuy Trung Tien Temple, and An Tri Communal House; explore booths and unique tours along Truc Bach Street; and experience four double-decker electric tram cars under the Line No. 6 project, themed “Pho Car,” “Subsidy-era Car,” “Rice and Grain Car,” and “Tea – Coffee Car.”
The Hanoi Culinary Festival recreates memories of traditional cuisine, allowing visitors to explore the culinary space of Ngu Xa – Ba Dinh and Vietnamese street food.
In addition, visitors can enjoy artistic performances such as ca tru singing at An Tri Communal House and interactive street art shows on the evenings of August 31, September 1, and September 2.
The exhibition and experiential spaces introduce historical images commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, along with thematic settings, photo spots, and distinctive booths.

Visitors can also take part in activities at the “Independence Stations,” including water support stations, national flag exchange stations, the “Preserve Your Emotions” station where participants can write or draw their reflections on Independence – Freedom – the Fatherland, as well as stations introducing and experiencing green tourism and digital tourism.
Through this series of activities under the theme “Red Spirit at Ba Dinh,” the Organizing Committee hopes to further spread love for the Fatherland and national pride, while continuing to promote the image of Hanoi as a city that is “cultured – civilized – creative” and Ba Dinh as “friendly – compassionate – welcoming.”
