On the morning of 19th April, the Centre of Culture, Information and Sports of Ha Ba Trung district in coordination with the District Veteran Association, the the District Women Union, the district Youth Union, the Party Committees of Bach Mai and Bach Khoa Wards respectively held a traditional talk show to introduce books’ values and the reading culture on the occassion of Viet Nam’s Books Day of 21st April.

On hand at the event were Ms Vuong Thi Ly, Deputy Director of Ha Noi Library and together with the representatives from the Deaprtments, branches and Unions located on the ward area, and more than invited guests.
At the talk show, speaker – Ass Prof, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Anh – lecturer of Ha Noi Foreign Trade College presented and interacted with the invited guests on the reading culture and books’ values.
Viet Nam’s Books Day in general and the activities yearly held at Hai Ba Trung district in particular are aimed at further reaffirming and honouring the books’values; highlighting the important roles of books in the daily social life; highly appreciating readers and those who have participated in collecting, composing and producing books. At the same time, it helps raising the responsibilities of all levels, branches, relevant bodies and social organizations in building and developing the reading culture among the community.
