Deputy Chairman of Ha Noi People’s Committee Ngo Van Quy has just signed a Decision on the approval of the two 30s promotional films of Ha Noi tourism images to be advertised on CNN in 2017. As regards, the two approved films are of the theme “Introduction of Ha Noi – Viet Nam’s heart” and “Ha Noi –a cradle of heritages”

Ha Noi People’s Committee has tasked the Director of Ha Noi Department of Tourism to be a focal point, in coordinatation with the Department of Information and Communications, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Culture and sports, the relevant agencies and the CNN to organize the airing of the two 30s promotional films of Ha Noi tourism images on the CNN channel in 2017.
Earlier, on 22nd December, Ha Noi People’s Committee officially concluded an agreement on cooperation with the CNN to promote Ha Noi for the peiod of 2017 – 2018.
Under the cooperative programme, the CNN will team up with Ha Noi to produce three 30s advertising films, 60s film, 3-5minute reportage, 30 minute special television programme, exclusive TVCs of Ha Noi i.e “Ha Noi – Viet Nam’s heart”, “Ha Noi Outlook” on CNN.com and articles run on social medias like Facebook, Twitter, as well as advertising banners.
Concretely, in 2017, the CNN would focus on promoting Ha Noi as a cradle of heritages; in 2018 “Ha Noi’s history, culture and people through the advertising films to be shown on televisions and digital banners. During the course of two years’ operation, surveys and effectiveness ratings of the promotional campaign will be required.
The areas to be aired will include Asia and the Pacific, Europe and the Middle East, North America and South Asia. The programme will be implemented on the basis of ensuring practicality, effectiveness, equality, subject to both the Vietnamese as well as international laws and the scope of jurisdictions of each side.
The Municipal People’s Committee will take lead to work with the CNN to make the progress report on regular outcomes upon completion of each promotional series (scheduled for 6 times) and that may be unscheduledly done as deemed necessary; at the same time, to check for official acceptance of the promotional substance and product after each of them has been completed and aired in accordance with the approved contents and sufficient in airtime amount as specified in the contract.
The copy rights of all the programmes, which have been produced and aired by the CNN, will be handed over to Ha Noi People’s Committee to be used for promotional activities afterwards.
