The Hoa Xa Communal House was officially designated as a national-level architectural and artistic relic according to Decision No. 05/QD-BVHTT dated March 8, 2005, by the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Tourism (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism). However, over time, the communal house had suffered severe degradation, with signs of roof subsidence, walls built with deteriorating brick and lime mortar, and various areas exhibiting mold, peeling paint, cracks, and subsidence, posing dangers to the entire structure. Recognizing this deterioration, based on the proposal of the People’s Committee of Hoa Xa Commune, Ung Hoa District directed the specialized agencies to conduct a survey, evaluate the situation, and recommend that the district report to the city authorities for financial support. Subsequently, Decision No. 1511/QD-UBND was issued by the Hanoi People’s Committee to allocate funds for the implementation of the relic renovation and embellishment project.

Ms. Bui Thi Thu Hien, Member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, commended the collective and individual contributions.

After 360 days of construction, the project has been completed, encompassing various components: the main hall (main worship area and rear court), the caretaker house and kitchen area, sanitary facilities, joss paper burning floor, and comprehensive landscaping of the garden and technical infrastructure. The project ensures compliance with quality and artistic requirements.

During the ceremony, the district leaders of Ung Hoa and the leaders of Hoa Xa Commune officially cut the ribbon, unveiled the plaque, and handed over the project for operation. This project stands as a significant cultural achievement, a practical celebration of Ung Hoa District attaining the standards of the New Countryside program and receiving the Second-Class Labor Medal. The communal house will serve as a spiritual center, hosting cultural activities and fostering community cohesion while promoting traditional historical values, instilling a love for the country, and showcasing the pride of the nation.

On this occasion, the People’s Committee of Ung Hoa District commended and rewarded 5 collectives and 1 individual for their positive contributions during the implementation of the relic renovation and embellishment project.
