To celebrate the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947-July 27, 2022), Ung Hoa District People’s Committee developed a plan to visit and give gifts to people with meritorious services.
According to the plan, the district would receive and deliver gifts from the President, Hanoi city and Ung Hoa district to communes and towns to give to families under preferential treatment and people with meritorious services in a timely manner and in accordance with the prescribed regime. Specifically, gifts from the central budget: 5,078 gift portions, of which 149 gift portions with value of 600,000 VND each, 4,929 gift portions with value of 300,000 VND each. 5,080 gift portions from the City, of which 2,537 gift portions with value of 1,000,000 VND each, 2,541 with value of 500,000 VND each, and 2 with value of 2,500,000 VND each.
District leaders visited and presented gifts to the Center for caring and nursing people with meritorious services, and the Nursing Center for invalids in Duy Tien district – Ha Nam. Giving gifts to 5,078 people with meritorious services, value of 100,000 VND/month; organizing meetings and giving gifts to 11 people with meritorious services and children of martyrs, who are currently working at the People’s Party and District People’s Committee agencies, with value of 1,500,000 VND/person.
In addition, Ung Hoa district planed to hold an incense offering ceremony at Ung Hoa district’s Martyrs’ Memorial and a candlelight ceremony to pay tribute to district heroes and martyrs at the Martyrs Cemetery in Lien Bat commune.
Free medical examination for and medicine delivery to persons under preferential policy

To show gratitude of all levels, branches and people in the district to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroic Martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and families with meritorious services to the country during the liberation wars, the district has organized free medical examination and treatment for wounded soldiers, sick soldiers and families under preferential policies in 7 communes, including Hoa Xa, Hoa Nam, Minh Duc, Quang Phu Cau, Doi Binh, Dai Cuong and Dong Lo.
Of which, 190 persons under preferential policies, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers and relatives of martyrs in Hoa Xa and Hoa Nam communes were medically examined and received gifts with a total value of 161 million VND. Doctors, nurses and technicians from Ha Dong Traditional Medicine Hospital, Hanoi Eye Hospital, and Hanoi Lung Hospital medically examined, consulted and screened for persons under preferential policies, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers on blood pressure, diabetes, eye diseases, heart, lung, respiratory diseases, etc. and delivered free medicine.

Doctors and nurses performed comprehensive examination, specialized examination, ultrasound, guidance and advice on preventive health care on common diseases, disease detection, prescription and drug distribution to persons under preferential policies in communes, including Minh Duc, Quang Phu Cau, Doi Binh, Dai Cuong, Dong Lo, and counseled and gave advice to them on how to prevent diseases, reasonable nutrition and exercise suitable for health status and age. On this occasion, Zila Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company gave 220 gifts to persons under preferential policies.
Towards the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, Ung Hoa district has organized many practical activities to show gratitude to persons under preferential policies. These activities aimed to educate the patriotic tradition, “When drink water, remember its source” for the young generation, and mobilize the whole people to take better care of the people with meritorious services to the revolution and of families under preferential policies.
