The local Women’s Unions have concretized the movement to participate in environmental protection through campaigns such as “All People Unite to Build New Rural Areas and Civilized Urban Areas,” the movement “For a Clean Environment, Women and People of the Capital Do Not Dump Trash and Waste on Streets and Public Places,” “Capital Women Practice Beautiful Conduct,” and by implementing two sets of Codes of Conduct, creating a clear shift towards elegant and civilized behavior.

During implementation, many effective environmental protection models have been developed and scaled up. Notably, the model of establishing “Women-Managed Road Sections” has resulted in the creation of 574 Women’s Union environmental protection models to date. Among them are 55 models of cultural houses and community activity points that are bright, green, clean, and beautiful; 9 models of playgrounds and activity points that are green, clean, beautiful, and friendly; 12 models transforming waste corners into flower spots; and 451 women-managed road sections.
In the first months of 2025, the local Women’s Unions organized environmental sanitation campaigns to respond to the emulation movement “Bright – Green – Clean – Beautiful”; launched the model “Dong Nam Village Bright – Green – Clean – Beautiful” by mobilizing 13 trash bins in Nam Phuong Tien commune; and launched the “Bright – Green – Clean – Beautiful” models in Thuy Huong, Hoang Dieu, Nam Phuong Tien communes, and Chuc Son town.
The Unions have maintained scrap collection activities at 40 “Civilized Trash Station” models across communes and towns, raising nearly 20 million VND; launched 2 “Civilized Trash Station” models in Tien Phuong commune worth 4.8 million VND; and launched 5 “Civilized Trash Station” models in Quang Bi commune totaling 12.5 million VND. Sports equipment was installed at the community playground in Trung Tien village, Thuy Huong commune for 40 million VND; at Chuc Son town playground for 20 million VND; and 12 additional sports equipment items were installed at cultural houses of 6 villages in Huu Van commune, with a total value of 67 million VND.

A 300-meter-long flower road was planted with purple Lagerstroemia and pentas at Hop Set area, Cau village, Ngoc Hoa commune; 100 purple Lagerstroemia trees, 56 Taiwan almond trees, and golden shower trees were planted in Dong Le and Dao Ngan villages, Hop Dong commune; a flower road with Lagerstroemia and hibiscus worth over 13 million VND was planted from social mobilization funds in Dong Lac commune; 15 new flower beds were planted in Quang Bi commune.
With these effective and practical activities, the Women’s Union of Chuong My district has created an environmental protection movement with wide-reaching impact on members, women, and the entire population, contributing to reducing environmental pollution, promoting civilized lifestyles, and improving the quality of life for local people.
