<\/p>\nTaking place at Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand on April 3 and April 4, the 2018 South East Asian Athletics Championships attracted many athletes born in 2001, 2002 and 2003 from 10 Southeast Asia countries with 19 contents for men and 19 contents for women.<\/p>\n

Attending the tournament, the Vietnamese delegation with 32 athletes competing in the contents of: running, high jump, long jump, shot-put, javelin-throwing, etc.<\/p>\n
On the first day (April 3), Vietnamese athletes excellently won 6 Gold medals, 3 Silver medals and 1 Bronze medal. The Vietnamese athletes won the Gold medals in the short, medium and long distance running. At the Men\u2019s 3000m race, Le Tien Long won at 9 minutes 4.05 seconds. At the Women\u2019s 100m race, Duong Thi Hoa scored 12 seconds 11 to stand on the highest podium. Ngo Thi Khanh Ny won the Gold medal at Women\u2019s 800m race at 2 minutes 11.40 seconds. At the 100m hurdles, Bui Thi Nguyen won the Gold medal within14 seconds 82. At long jump, Hoang Thi Giang won with the record of 5m74. And the 6th<\/sup> Gold medal on April 3 belongs to Doan Thu Hang competing in the Women\u2019s 3000m race when finishing first within 10 minutes 04.26 seconds.<\/p>\n On the last day (April 4), the athletes of the National Youth Athletics Team won 7 Gold medals, 9 Silver medals, 5 Bronze medals which increases the total medals to 13 Gold medals, 12 Silver medals, 6 Bronze medals and won the first position of the entire delegation.
