The conference were attended by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Head of the Central Committee for Propagation and Education Vo Van Thuong, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien, together with representatives from differrent ministries, committees, branches and cities\/provinces.<\/p>\n

Viet Nam is a country rich in heritages. Nationwide, Viet Nam has 8 world recognized heritages cultural and natural, 11 intangible representative heritages of mandkind, 01 intangible heritage in need of urgent protection and 07 world documentary heritages, 249 national intangible cultural heritages together with a network of classified relics of differrent levels.<\/p>\n
In 2017, the number of tourist arrivals both domestic and international to visit the relics and world heritages rapidly increased, concretely: 8 cultural and natural heritages received more than 16 million arrivals, of which 7 million international arrivals, with receipt from entrance fees collection and direct service provision of over 2,500 billion VN dong.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc: \u201cWe categorically must not destroy, damage or sacrify heritages for any reasons for the purpose of development\u201d.<\/p>\n
Concluding the conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc clearly stated:Heritage is the treasure that nature has granted to us. It is also the crystal of creative labours which has been transmitted by our ancestors from generation to generation. Heritage in essence belongs to the past, easy to be neglected. Therefore, conservation and enhancement of heritages\u2019 values will not only be the state\u2019s duty, but also responsibilty of the public and community. We need to step up international integration and exchange, strictly abide by UNESCO\u2019s committments. Viet Nam should contribute our cultural identities so as to enrich the heritages and cultural diversity of the world.<\/p>\n
