In 2018, Pen Monument in Hoan Kiem Lake was greened on occasion of St. Patrick\u2019s Day \u2013 the National Day of Ireland.<\/em><\/p>\n

The initiative called \u201cIreland’s Greening Campaign” has become a global campaign since 2010. Accordingly, famous landmarks all over the world such as the Empire State building in New York, the City Hall of London and the Great Wall in China are “lit up green” to respond to the event.<\/p>\n

This is the third year that Hanoi city participates in this campaign and Pen Monument in Hoan Kiem Lake will turn green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day – National Day of Ireland.<\/p>\n

In 2017, Hanoi became the first city in Southeast Asia to get involved in the Global Greening Campaign on the occasion of the National Day of Ireland, with the Octagonal House at Ly Thai To Park ‘stained’ on March 17.<\/p>\n

To mark this special day, “Ireland Day”, a cultural festival for the public to introduce Ireland’s country, people and culture to the Vietnamese people will be organized by the Friends of Ireland group\u201d in Vietnam on the afternoon of March 16 at Hoan Kiem Lake.<\/p>\n

In 2018, Pen Monument in Hoan Kiem Lake was greened on occasion of St. Patrick\u2019s Day \u2013 the National Day of Ireland.<\/p>\n

The traditional music group from Cork University (UCC Tradsoc) will participate in and bring Ireland’s spectacular music and dance performances to the “Ireland Day” and the green lighting ceremony in Pen Monument.<\/p>\n

This is an open event which takes place in Ho Guom Walking Street with cultural activities suitable for all ages and it is expected to create an interesting space for the public when they join the event.<\/p>\n
