In implementing Dispatch No. 176 by Cinema Department under Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism on cooperating to enhance the prevention of COVID-19 in the new situation, based on the guidance of Hanoi Municipal People\u2019s Committee, the Department asked that People\u2019s Committees of districts and towns carry out a number of tasks to prevent and control the disease, namely suspending the operation of movie theaters and video game establishments in the area to minimize crowded gathering and avoid the spread of COVID-19.<\/p>\n

The Department also proposed to continue inspecting the implementation of Dispatch No. 654\/SVHTT-NSVH on suspending the operation of relic sites, bars, discos, and karaoke facilities in the area.<\/p>\n

Previously, following the directing opinions given by Hanoi Municipal People\u2019s Committee, many historical and cultural sites in Hanoi were ordered to temporarily stop operating through March 31 to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19. Some specific historic and cultural sites in Hanoi are still in operation on the basis of good prevention and control.<\/p>\n

According to Hanoi Department of Tourism, there are 5 city-level tourist attractions which, due to their distinct characteristics, are still in operation. More specifically, National Museum of History and Military History Museum is not required to suspend operation; Bat Trang tourist site, Chuyen My pearl inlaying & lacquer craft village, and Van Tu textile village, as open tourist sites, do not organize guest groups but do not prevent guests from visiting either.<\/p>\n

Some city-level suburban tourist sites in Hanoi, including Ao Vua tourist site, Tan Da tourist site, Thien Son Suoi Nga tourist site, and Khoang Xanh – Suoi Tien tourist site, are still in operation. Staff members of these sites work alternately 10 days in a month to maintain good hygiene for disease prevention and to ensure that guests are served as needed.<\/p>\n

All tourist attractions that are still in operation must regularly take measures to prevent and control COVID-19 such as disinfecting, recommending visitors to wear masks when visiting, and providing disinfectant solutions and measuring body temperature for visitors.<\/p>\n

Six of the eleven city-level tourist attractions of Hanoi have announced to suspend visiting through March 31 are Temple of Literature – Imperial Academy, Hoa Lo Prison relic site, Hanoi Zoo, Bao Son Paradise Park, Hong Van Ornamental Creatures village, and Duong Lam ancient village.<\/p>\n

Other key tourist areas and destinations (Ngoc Son Temple, Museum of Ethnology, Thang Long Puppet Theater, etc.) have also suspended visiting through the end of March.<\/p>\n
