<\/p>\n2019 is a successful year for Hanoi Sports sector in many domestic, regional and world arenas. In the domestic arena, Hanoi Sports continues to maintain its leading position with the First Prize of 22 out of 33 sports of the whole Delegation in the tournament system of the National Championship plus the First Prize of 17 out of 33 sports of the whole Delegation at the tournament system of the National Youth Championship.<\/p>\n

Also in 2019, at the SEA Games 30, Hanoi Sports continues to promote its role as a key unit when contributing 186 members (including one delegation officer, one team leader, 41 coaches, 140 athletes, and three experts) to the Vietnam Sports Delegation. In this arena, the Capital Sports contributed 34 Gold Medals, 27 Silver Medals and 25 Bronze Medals (beyond the target of 30% contribution) to the Vietnam Sports Delegation\u2019s achievement with 98 Gold Medals, 85 Silver Medals, and 104 Bronze Medals of. The Gold Medals of Hanoi athletes gained from martial arts, fencing, wrestling, Kurash, Muay, Arnis, boxing, Karate-Do, Wushu and other key sports of Vietnam such as gymnastics, weightlifting, and archery.<\/p>\n
Especially, both two Gold Medals of the men\u2019s and women\u2019s national football teams won at SEA Games 30, there were significant contributions of Hanoi athletes, in which Pham Hai Yen scored the only goal in the final of Vietnam and Thailand women\u2019s football team., two players who scored in the final of the men\u2019s football of U22 Vietnam and U22 Indonesia are Do Hung Dung and Doan Van Hau, both of them are trained in Hanoi.<\/p>\n

Apart from achievements gained the regional arena, Hanoi Sports also won a lot of achievements in the continental and world arenas in 2019, they won many gold medals at Pencak Silat, Taekwondo, Wushu, Muay, Female Boxing, etc. The most outstanding is the third ticket of Vietnam Sports – the first ticket of Hanoi Sports at the 2020 Olympics in Japan by archery athlete Do Thi Anh Nguyet.<\/p>\n
At the Conference, Mr. To Van Dong – Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports highly appreciated achievements that the Hanoi Sport and Physical Training Competition Center gained in 2019, thereby proving the leading position of the Capital Sports in the country. However, the Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports also proposed that the Hanoi Sport and Physical Training Competition Center should pay attention to some specific key tasks like continuing to invest heavily in sports that have great potential to win tickets to the 2020 Olympics in Japan.<\/p>\n
Mr. To Van Dong also stressed that \u201cthe Center needs to review its forces to invest heavily in the sports under the Olympic, ASIAD, and Hanoi competition system, then preparing the best forces for the Southeast Asian Games – SEA Games 31 in 2021 in Hanoi. Focusing investment in youth training is essential to discover and supplement sports talents for the City team to maintain the position in regional and national arenas as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
At the same time, the leader of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports expected the Hanoi Sport and Physical Training Competition Center to coordinate closely with the Hanoi Department of Education and Training as well as the functional divisions of the Department in preparing the competition forces successfully at the 10th<\/sup> National Phu Dong Health Festival in 2020.
