Gia Lam district awarded certificates of merit to \u201cTypical cultural families\u201d<\/em><\/p>\nOver the past 15 years, Gia Lam district has regularly maintained communication on family building. The district\u2019s radio system and commune\u2019s and town\u2019s radio stations have edited over 2,000 news & articles and distributed over 4,000 articles on the occasion of the International Day of Happiness (March 20); Vietnam Family Day (June 28), National Month of Action on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control, Action Month for Children; International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (November 25). The district\u2019s health sector regularly coordinates with authorities and grassroots authorities to focus on communicating and counseling on population – family planning, child protection, care and education to 22 communes, towns with for 5,400 turns of people.<\/p>\n
From 2005 to 2019, there were 3,021 conferences of People\u2019s deputies with over 365,000 attendees, over 18,000 comments of contribution to building elegant and civilized Hanoi people, solutions related to village construction culture, cultural family, building a new countryside, ensuring traffic order and safety, preserving the landscape and environment, building \u201cBright – Green – Clean – Beautiful\u201d village roads, lanes, supplement the conventions of the village, residential groups, contribute to building cultural life in residential areas.<\/p>\n
The District Women\u2019s Union coordinated with all levels and sectors in communicating the implementation of the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control; coordinated to organize many practical communication and dissemination activities: distributing 10,250 leaflets, 1,000 documents on the law on domestic violence prevention, parenting materials, cultural behavior, communication in life family, etc.<\/p>\n
The district Veterans Association launched the movement \u201cExemplary Veterans\u201d and \u201cCultural Veterans Family\u201d associated with the campaign of learning and following Ho Chi Minh\u2019s ideology, morality and style and \u201cCode of conduct in the family\u201d. Over the years of implementation, the movement has spread widely among cadres and members, becoming the order and goal of every family. The annual result, the rate of exemplary Veterans\u2019 members and their families of cultural members reached an average of 96.7-98.24%.<\/p>\n
District\u2019s Farmers Association organized many training sessions, communication campaigns, coordinated to organize seminars on domestic violence prevention and control, gender equality, population – family planning; launched the movement \u201cGood production and business, solidarity to help each other get rich and sustainable poverty reduction\u201d, contributing to socio-economic development in the district. In the period 2005-2020, the whole district had 105,465 turns of households registered as \u201cGood business at all levels\u201d, in which 81,251 turns of households reached \u201cGood business production\u201d households at all levels, etc.<\/p>\n
Provinces, departments, unions of the district and grassroots performed well in organizing meetings, seminars, praising and rewarding typical families for doing good economic, overcoming difficulties, and raising children well, studiously; visited, helped difficult families, mobilized individuals and population groups to actively respond to the movement \u201cAll people unite to build a cultural life\u201d, the number of families meeting the standard \u201cFamily, culture \u201c increased from 87.4% (2005) to 94% (2019).<\/p>\n
Family life education has been focused by the Party committees and authorities at all levels, considering this as the most important task for family affairs. Currently, the district has 769 inter-family groups in 16\/22 communes and towns; 35 types of self-management in the fields of economy, society, security and order, environmental protection, … were maintained in 192 villages and residential groups. 187 trusted sites built in the community. Over the years, trustworthy sites in the community have promoted their role and responsibility in supporting, helping and counseling 102 cases of family conflicts between husbands and wives, parents, children, and siblings and successfully reconciled and resolved.<\/p>\n

In 2005-2020, the District\u2019s Bank for Social Policies supported VND 1,063 billion for 58,273 households to borrow capital to create jobs, develop economy, improve family life, improve living standards, etc.<\/p>\n
In the coming time, Gia Lam district will promote and diversify communication activities, disseminate the Party\u2019s guidelines, State policies and laws on family building in the period of industrialization- modernization. At the same time, to consolidate and steadily consolidate the contingent of cadres doing housework from district to grassroots levels.
