After a temporary closure during pandemic time, Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature and Imperial Academy) has planned to re-open.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cAfter a temporary closure for social distancing, under the direction of the Prime Minister with respect to prevention and control of COVID-19, Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam relic site will re-open from 8:00 am on May 14, 2020 (Thursday). The Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam shall continue to take COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control measures as prescribed by the Ministry of Health\u201d – said Mr. Le Xuan Kieu, Director of the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam.<\/p>\n

At the entrance, body temperature meters and hand sanitizers are equipped. All visitors to the relic site have their body temperature checked, and wash their hands using sanitizer and are required to wear a mask before entering the site.<\/p>\n

In addition, the easy-to-read bulletin boards on prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic are also prepared in Vietnamese, English and French and placed at the entrances, as well as sightseeing stops.<\/p>\n

In the toilet area, soap and hand sanitizer are always available. Cleaning staff wipe the floor several times a day, and clean door handles of the restrooms, windows, using a disinfectant solution.<\/p>\n

Strengthening environmental sanitation, ensuring all areas are always disinfected.<\/em><\/p>\n

The environmental sanitation in the relic site is strengthened, ensuring all areas are always disinfected, clean and well-ventilated. The Center causes staff to conduct regular disinfectant spraying for all areas of the site, and clean and disinfect surfaces of display areas, working areas and services provision areas in accordance with regulations of the medical industry. All officials and workers at the site undergo body temperature measurements twice a day at the time of arrival and return, always wear masks and use other protective equipment when performing their duties. The Center also regulates that the maximum number of a visitor group is 30 people. Within 14 days after the tour, any visitors who have cough, fever, and shortness of breath should seek medical attention and inform the Center.<\/p>\n

In addition to Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam, on the morning of May 14, other relic sites of Hanoi such as Ngoc Son Temple, Hoa Lo prison relic, etc. will also re-open. \u201cDuring the temporary closure, we still had regularly cleaned and disinfected the entire site. We always paid attention to taking pandemic prevention and control measures such as equipping staff with protective equipment, guiding tourists to wash their hands… \u201d – said Mr. Nguyen Doan Van, the Head of Hanoi scenic relic management board.<\/p>\n

Disinfection and environmental sanitation are regularly carried out by Hoa Lo Prison Relic Management Board during the temporary closure.<\/em><\/p>\n

Also according to Hoa Lo Prison Relic Management Board, in order to receive and serve guests in the best way when re-opening, the Management Board always carries out cleaning and disinfectant spraying for inside and outside areas of the site; regularly cleans surfaces using medical alcohol as prescribed by the Ministry of Health; keeps a safe distance in contact with guests; and takes body temperature of guests, requests them to wear mask and wash their hands with disinfectant solution, and follow the instructions of service staff during the tour. Besides, the Management Board also regulates that the maximum number of a visitor group is 30 people.<\/p>\n
