Accordingly, on April 29, Thang Long – Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center held an exhibition \u201cCountry is full of joy\u201d to celebrate the 46th anniversary of the liberation of the South and reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2021). With nearly 100 documents and images, the exhibition is divided into 3 themes: Historical moment; Hanoi April 30, 1975; Saigon on April 30, 1975.<\/em><\/p>\n

At a sacred historical moment, April 30, 1975, at the General Headquarters (House D67), where comrades of the Politburo and the Central Military Commission were tensely monitoring the progress of the campaign, while directing and anxiously waiting, finally received the news of victory from Saigon, feeling excited, lightheaded, full of joy, proudly overflowing with tears, and at that moment, everyone choked with nostalgia for Uncle Ho with the dream of an independent and unified country that has now come true.<\/p>\n

Sharing the joy with the liberation of Saigon, the capital Hanoi also burst into joy when the victory announcement was broadcast on the Voice of Vietnam. People from all over the world marched to gather at Hoan Kiem Lake, Ba Dinh Square in the red color of flags and flowers with bright eyes and smiles mixed with the emotion of the unified country.<\/p>\n

In addition to documentary images of historical moments on April 30, 1975, the exhibition \u201cCountry is full of joy\u201d also delves deeply into the emotional stories and memories of historical witnesses, making them vivid, clearer than historical documents.<\/p>\n

They are the people who have lived, spent years fighting for the unification of the country, and then burst into the historical moment when Saigon was liberated and the country reunified. Each witness on that day kept their own memories and remembrance of the great historical moment of the country. Extracting memories from eyewitnesses is a way of re-enacting history, bringing valuable emotions and information to today’s generation.<\/p>\n

That is the story of artists such as Musician, Pham Tuyen – composing the song \u201c Nh\u01b0 c\u00f3 B\u00e1c H\u1ed3 trong ng\u00e0y vui \u0111\u1ea1i th\u1eafng<\/em>\u201d coincided with the moment when Saigon was liberated; People’s Artist, Nhu Quynh – then an artist participating in the victory day rally; especially the Outstanding Artist, Kim Cuc, the broadcaster who read the victory news on the Voice of Vietnam at noon on April 30, 1975; or the story of Mrs. Van Minh Tam, the daughter of General Van Tien Dung, Commander of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign. And many other simple and touching stories told by the insiders, the liberation soldiers, the wives in the rear, waiting for news of victory. All make up an epic victory, in harmony with the common joy of the nation.<\/p>\n

The exhibition is open to visitors until the end of May 2021 at the Thang Long – Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center. The exhibition also introduces the online version on the website: trungbayonline.hoangthanhthanglong.com.\/.<\/p>\n
