<\/p>\n4 years after the approval has been given by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to renovate Phuong Dinh palace and Kim Chau hillock (Special National relic of Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam), this project is now officially started.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Scheme for renovation of Phuong Dinh palace on Kim Chau hillock.<\/em><\/p>\n The complex of the special national relic of Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam lies in the site of Quoc Tu Giam ward, Dong Da district, Ha Noi with a total area of some \u00a054.331m2, including the components: Noi Tu, Giam garden and Van lake. Together with Giam garden, other aencient architectural works, Van lake is an important part\u00a0 which is inseparable from the complex of the special national relic of Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam. It plays an role as a \u201cFunction place\u201d standing right in front of the entire relic. The present architechture of the lake is comprised of the surface (in the middle of the lake is Kim Chau hillock) and a small plot of garden which partion between the lake\u2019s surface and Quoc Tu Giam street and the inner part of the relic.<\/p>\n Throughout the history undergoing with numerous ebbs and flows, Van lake has been left deserted and seriously annexed. As from 2016 to now, with a view to promoting the relic\u2019s values as well as accelerating the connection with the inner component, many cultural-art activities have been organized at Van lake site namely Spring Writings Festival, kid pupils\u2019 activities, book festival, traditional art performance…; these activites have attracted a large number of visitors and public. However, it has not yet been able to bring into full play of Van lake\u2019s values, and live up to the potentials of the special national relic. In 2017, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism agreed on the rehabilitation of Phuong Dinh palace on Kim Chau hillock within Van lake site so as to preserve and promote the values of the relic, that is to return the relic\u2019s important part to its former functionality and position within the entire complex relic. Currently, Ha Noi city is determined to implement and complete the project of renovating Phuong Dinh palace and Kim Chau hillock at Van lake, under the close direction and guidance of line organizations i.e the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ha Noi People\u2019s Committee. Recently, on 3 May 2021, Vice Chairman of Ha Noi People\u2019s Committee Chu Xuan Dung signed a document to task Ha Noi Department of Culture and Sports, Ha Noi Public Police Department, Dong Da district People\u2019 Committee, Ha Noi Committee of Religions on the maintaining of security and order during the process of renovation of Phuong Dinh palace and Kim Chau hillock.<\/p>\n \u00a0Overview of the work upon completion.<\/em><\/p>\n When the renovation of Phuong Dinh palace and Kim Chau hillock is in place, it will serve as facilities for Van lake to boost the relic\u2019s value enhancement.
