Meritous artisan Phan thi Kim Dung-all her life indulged in strolling blind musisian\u2019s<\/strong> songs<\/strong><\/p>\n

Meritous artisan Phan Thi Kim Dung lives a simple life<\/em><\/p>\n

Born in 1951 in a family having singing traditions, right from her childhood, Ms Phan Thi Kim Dung had a time living with the Vietnamese popular opera songs, folk songs and strolling blind musisian\u2019s songs. Her father-artisan Phan Duc Hau from My Loc in Nam Dinh province had discovered from early days her talents and passed his inspiration of folk songs to hers. Thanks to her father\u2019s teaching and practicing, when whe reached the age of 10, she had known how to sing the strolling blind musisian\u2019s songs and has always dedicated her whole love and craving to arts until now.<\/p>\n

According to her, to be able to sing strolling blind musisian\u2019s songs requires the singer to own a nice voice. Singing voice must be perfectly round, clear pronunciation, right tempo and beat, but natural like telling a story.<\/p>\n

In 1995, following her husband and her children to come to Ha Noi, meritous artisan Kim Dung was guided and retaught. When performing at localities, she had been well received by street groups, people, leaders of Nhan Chinh ward and the Relic Management Board of Quan Nhan temple. Inspired by her keenesses in singing <\/em>the strolling blind musisian\u2019s songs, many people followed her to learn that art and set up the Folk Singing Club of Quan Nhan hamlet. At present, the Club has 55 members, the eldest at over 70, and the youngest at over 50. The Club operates reularly on every Friday night. The Club apart from performing in service of the culrual and art movement at Nhan Chinh ward of Thanh Xuan district, it also presents shows at differrent districts within Ha Noi city and other procinces. Coupled with taking part in the shows, she also spent her time teaching this type of art to the Ederly Association of Nhan Chinh ward, and so on…<\/p>\n

At the age of 70, meritous artisan Kim Dung is very proud of having had 60 years\u00a0 associating with folk popular singing and strolling blind musisian\u2019s songs. With her srong passions and wholeheartedness for strolling blind musisian\u2019s songs, meritoues artisan Kim Dung has achieved considerable successes: in 2015, she obtained gold medal confered by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In 2019, she got the third prize for singing competition of strolling blind musisian\u2019s songs organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism… And in 2010, she was recognized the title of folk artisan. In 2015, she was recognized as meritous artisan. In 2021, she was able to appreciated as People\u2019 artisan.<\/p>\n
