\u00a0\u201cThe Story of Pottery\u201d was organized with many interesting activities introducing the traditional craft villages of Hanoi and other provinces in the country (<\/em>Illustrative image<\/em>).<\/em><\/p>\n

Accordingly, from April 23 to May 31, 2021, the Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter will organize a series of cultural activities with the theme \u201cThe Story of Pottery\u201d with many interesting activities introducing about traditional craft villages of Hanoi and other provinces in the country. Typically, the exhibition and introduction of traditional pottery will open at 3 pm on April 23, 2021 (Friday) at Kim Ngan communal house \u2013 located at No. 42 & 44 Hang Bac, Hang Bac ward, Hoan Kiem district. The exhibition will introduce to the public some typical ceramic products of Bat Trang pottery village (Hanoi), Phu Lang pottery village (Bac Ninh), and Chi pottery workshop (Hanoi). Through the exhibition, the Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter wishes to introduce and honor the traditional pottery profession of his father, with a variety of ceramic products from traditional to modern; thereby, expressing the creative flow on products from the talented and skillful hands of artisans.<\/p>\n

Along with that, there is an exhibition and introduction of Vinh Ba and Phu Yen knitting at the Heritage Information Center of Hanoi Old Quarter \u2013 located at No. 28 Hang Buom, Hang Buom ward, Hoan Kiem district. The exhibition will introduce visitors to Vinh Ba traditional knitting craft (Hoa Dong commune, Tay Hoa district) – a heritage beauty, an attractive tourist destination of Phu Yen province, also introduce and promote tourism products between Phu Yen province and Hanoi city.<\/p>\n

Also in the series of cultural activities to celebrate major holidays, at Dong Lac communal house addressed at 38 Hang Dao, Hang Dao ward, Hoan Kiem district, there is also an activity to introduce traditional lacquer products. The Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter cooperated with Hanoia Co., Ltd. to organize an activity to introduce lacquer handicraft products with the theme \u201cThe quintessence of Vietnamese lacquerware\u201d with speakers who are artists of the painting workshop grinding Hanoia. Besides, visitors will experience the \u201ceggshell decoration\u201d – one of the stages in lacquer manufacturing. A series of activities are organized to preserve traditional vocational values \u200b\u200bwith the connection between craft streets and craft villages, to promote tourism development, promote the image of Hanoi’s Old Quarter in particular, and Hanoi capital in general; also strengthen cooperation and exchange between localities, organizations and individuals in the conservation and promotion of intangible cultural heritage values.<\/p>\n
