<\/p>\nAccordingly, after reviewing Letter No.144-CV\/BCSD dated September 21, 2021, of the Party Personnel Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the change of the plan to organize the 31st SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games 11, the opinion of the relevant agencies, the Politburo agreed to postpone the organization of the 31st SEA Games to the second quarter of 2002 and not to exercise the right to host the ASEAN Para Games 11 in Vietnam.<\/p>\n

The Politburo also assigned the Party Personnel Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with agencies in formulating a scheme on organizing the 31st SEA Games and submitting it to the Government for approval.<\/p>\n
The 31st SEA Games, according to the scheduled schedule, will be opened from November 21 to December 2, 2021 in Hanoi and a number of neighboring cities and provinces such as Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, and Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho and Bac Giang. The official competition program of the 31st SEA Games will feature a total of 40 sports, along with 520 events. However, due to the complex nature of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization plan had to be adjusted. According to the new planned organization plan, the 31st SEA Games will take place in the middle of May, in about two weeks.<\/p>\n
