<\/p>\nAccording to the Decision, \u201cVietnam Book and Reading Culture Day\u201d is held on April 21 every year nationwide to affirm the position, role and importance of books in improving knowledge, skills, development of thinking, education and training of human personality; encouraging and developing the reading movement in the community, creating a favorable reading environment; forming reading habits in families, schools, agencies and organizations; contributing to building a learning society.<\/p>\n
The \u201cVietnam Book and Reading Culture Day \u201chonors readers, creators, publishers, publishers, libraries, archives, collectors, and promoters of books and organizations and individuals who have contributed to the development of reading culture in the community; raises the responsibility of all levels, branches, functional agencies and social organizations for building and developing reading culture in Vietnam.<\/p>\n

Photo: KTDT<\/em><\/p>\n The Ministry of Information and Communications shall assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in guiding ministries, branches and People\u2019s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to organize \u201cVietnam Book and Reading Culture Day\u201d every year on a national scale, ensuring practicality, efficiency and thrift. The Vietnam Publishing Association and the Vietnam Library Association are responsible for directing its member organizations to organize activities in response to the annual \u201cVietnam Book and Reading Culture Day\u201d annually.
