Recently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued a plan to organize the Conference – Workshop \u201cProtecting cultural heritage from a gender equality perspective\u201d. The Conference – Workshop is to share new perceptions on protection and promotion of the value of documentary heritage in particular and cultural heritage in general; raise awareness of gender equality and encourage the participation of women in the protection and promotion of cultural heritage values; strengthen the connection in the regional network on activities to protect and access documentary heritage following the spirit of UNESCO and the Memory of the World Programme (MOW).<\/p>\n

Ca Tru singing, a folk art form, is recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of <\/em>H<\/em>umanity.<\/em><\/p>\n

The workshop will evaluate the current management situation, especially the identification, protection and promotion of the value of cultural heritage in general and documentary heritage in particular; protecting and promoting the value of world documentary heritage and documentary heritages in the Asia-Pacific region (under the Memory of the World Programme) after being registered; share about the role of women and the advantages and disadvantages in protecting and promoting the value of documentary heritage in particular and cultural heritage in general.<\/p>\n

It is expected that the workshop will take place on November 10, 2021, in Hanoi, online with Thua Thien Hue bridge point.<\/p>\n

The Department of Cultural Heritage will chair the Workshop with the participation of leading representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; representative leaders of agencies and units: Department of Family (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), Department of Cultural Affairs and UNESCO (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), National Committee of the Memory of the World Program of Vietnam, UNESCO Office in Hanoi, Vietnam Women\u2019s Union, Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Vietnam Women\u2019s Museum, Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association, Folk Arts Association, etc.<\/p>\n
