\nOverview of the press conference to introduce the festival in the morning of September 20, 2022<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

This festival is organized by the Vietnam Association of Theater Artists in collaboration with the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports every 2 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the speech at the press conference, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Pham Thi My Hoa – Head of the Festival Organizing Committee affirmed the 5th Capital Theater Festival – 2022 was a great cultural event of Hanoi on the occasion of 68th anniversary of Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2022), and\u00a0 contributed to bringing new and quality theatrical works to a large audience of the Capital.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The 5th Capital Theater Festival- 2022 <\/span><\/i>has the participation of 13 troupes with 13 plays introduced to the public of the Capital.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new feature of this festival is that in addition to the presence of Hanoi troupes, national troupes located in Hanoi such as Hanoi Drama Theater, Hanoi Cheo Theatre, Hanoi Cai Luong Theater, Hanoi Circus and Variety Arts Theater, Thang Long Art Performance\u00a0 Association (Hanoi Theater Association), Vietnam Cai Luong Theater, Army Cheo Theater, Military Play Theater, Military University of Culture and Arts, Le Ngoc Theater, there are 3 troupes from Ho Chi Minh City, including Song Viet Performance Organization Co., Ltd., Sen Viet Theater, Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association participating the festival.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cheo play “Trung trinh li\u1ec7t n\u1eef (loyal and faithful woman)” – Hanoi Cheo Theater – Opening repertoire of the festival<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

13 plays participating in the 5th Capital Theater Festival – 2022 come from different genres including drama, cai luong, cheo, circus and all are elaborately invested and staged plays, promising to attract the audience. Especially the repertoire “<\/span>H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i th\u00e0nh ph\u1ed1 c\u1ee7a nh\u1eefng gi\u1ea5c m\u01a1<\/span><\/i> (<\/span>Hanoi City of Dreams)<\/span><\/i>” by the Hanoi Circus and Variety Arts Theater is highly awaited because this is the first time a circus art troupe has appeared at the festival.<\/span><\/p>\n

As planned, the Capital Theater Festival will open in the evening of September 25 at Dai Nam Theater (89 Hue Street, Hanoi). After the opening ceremony, the repertoire “<\/span>Trung trinh li\u1ec7t n\u1eef<\/span><\/i>” by the Hanoi Cheo Theater will open the festival.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the morning of September 26, there will be the play “<\/span>S\u00f3ng d\u1ef1ng L\u00f4 Giang (Waves of Lo Giang)<\/span><\/i>” by the Military Cheo Theater, which will be performed at the Theater (No. 45, Alley 126 Xuan Dinh Street, Bac Tu Liem, Hanoi). In the evening of September 26 at Dai Nam Cinema, the repertoire “<\/span>Tr\u1eddi Nam (Southern country<\/span><\/i>)” will be performed by the Hanoi Cai Luong Theater.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the evening of September 27, Vietnam Cai Luong Theater will attend the festival with the repertoire “<\/span>B\u1ea5t t\u1eed v\u1edbi Th\u0103ng Long (Long live with Thang Long<\/span><\/i>)” at Dai Nam Theater.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the morning of September 28, the Military Drama Theater will perform “<\/span>M\u01b0a \u0111\u1ecf (Red Rain<\/span><\/i>)” at the Military Theater (Ho Tung Mau Street, Cau Giay District, Hanoi). In the evening of September 28, the repertoire “<\/span>\u0110\u00eam tr\u01b0\u1edbc ng\u00e0y ho\u00e0ng \u0111\u1ea1o (Night before the zodiac day)” <\/span><\/i>by Song Viet Performance Organization Co., Ltd will be performed at Dai Nam Theater.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the morning of September 29, at Cong Nhan theater (42 Trang Tien) repertoire “<\/span>\u00c1n t\u00ecnh (Love case)<\/span><\/i>” of the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Artists Association will be performed. In the evening of the same day, there is the play “<\/span>C\u00e2u h\u00e1t t\u00ecm nhau (Finding each other via song words)” <\/span><\/i>by Sen Viet Theater at Dai Nam Theater.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the morning of September 30, the Military University of Culture and Arts will perform the repertoire “<\/span>Hoa c\u00fac nh\u00e0 tr\u1eddi (Chrysanthemum of the Heaven)” <\/span><\/i>at the University (101 Nguyen Chi Thanh, Dong Da, Hanoi). In the afternoon of September 30, the circus-combined play “<\/span>H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i th\u00e0nh ph\u1ed1 c\u1ee7a nh\u1eefng gi\u1ea5c m\u01a1 (Hanoi City of Dreams)” <\/span><\/i>by the Hanoi Circus and Variety Art Theater will be performed at Cong Nhan Theater. In the evening of September 30, Thang Long Art Performance Association (Hanoi Theater Association) will perform the play “<\/span>V\u01b0\u01a1ng Quy\u1ec1n \u2013 V\u1ee5 \u00e1n T\u1ed1ng Th\u1ecb Quy\u00ean<\/span><\/i> (<\/span>Kingship – The case of Tong Thi Quyen)<\/span><\/i>” at Dai Nam Cinema.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the morning of October 1, 2022, Le Ngoc Stage will perform the repertoire “<\/span>Huy\u1ec1n t\u00edch ch\u00f9a M\u1ed9t C\u1ed9t (The Legend of One Pillar Pagoda)<\/span><\/i>“. In the evening of the same day, the play “<\/span>Th\u00fay Ki\u1ec1u – M\u1ed9t ki\u1ebfp \u0111o\u1ea1n tr\u01b0\u1eddng (Thuy Kieu – A short life)<\/span><\/i>” by the Hanoi Drama Theater will be performed at the Cong Nhan theater.<\/span><\/p>\n

The closing ceremony of the 5th Capital Theater Festival – 2022 will take place in the evening of October 2, 2022 at Dai Nam Cinema.<\/span><\/p>\n
