Vietnam&#8217;s cultural identity, along with the noble sportsmanship and Southeast Asian solidarity are symbols throughout the opening ceremony of the 31st SEA Games which took place briefly in more than 1 hour. This special event had made a good impression on friends and international media.<\/p>\n<p>The homepage of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) had an article: &#8220;The Opening Ceremony lights up Hanoi in spectacular celebration of Southeast Asia as the SEA Games officially begin&#8221;.\u00a0 The IOC&#8217;s article read: &#8220;The opening ceremony of the 31st SEA Games was colorful, with lively performances and the slogan \u201cFor a stronger Southeast Asia\u201d. Malaysia&#8217;s The Star newspaper wrote: &#8220;The opening ceremony of the 31st SEA Games has emphasized the solidarity of Southeast Asian countries and the journey together over the years.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Singapore&#8217;s The Strait Times shared the efforts of Vietnam and Southeast Asia to overcome difficulties when this was the first SEA Games held after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>The Strait Times quoted Singaporean boxer Pencak Silat Sheik Farhan: \u201cThe past two years have been really challenging for all of us. It&#8217;s hard to believe we&#8217;re here with the SEA Games.
