The Ung Hoa District Women\u2019s Union launched a pilot model of \u201cModel Historical Sites in Implementing Public Code of Conduct\u201d<\/em> at the Huu Vinh Temple National Historical Site in Huu Vinh village, Hong Quang commune. Huu Vinh Temple, also known as Duc Thanh Ca Temple or Thien Vung Temple, was built over a thousand years ago. Local residents consider the temple highly sacred, evidenced by tens of thousands of pilgrims visiting annually.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

To develop and implement the \u201cModel Historical Sites in Implementing Public Code of Conduct\u201d<\/em> initiative, the Ung Hoa Women\u2019s Union collaborated with the Party Committee, People\u2019s Committee of Hong Quang commune, Communal Site Management Board, and Huu Vinh Temple Management Sub-committee to review and enhance criteria according to Hanoi Women\u2019s Union Standing Committee\u2019s guidelines. The Commune Women\u2019s Union installed informative boards about public conduct rules, illustrated with easy-to-understand visuals. They also built and installed a \u201cgreen house\u201d within the temple grounds for waste collection and sorting, protecting the landscape while raising funds for disadvantaged members and children.<\/p>\n

Huu Vinh Temple is the first historical site in Ung Hoa district to implement the model cultural site initiative, serving as a destination for officials, union members, women, and the public to visit and promote good public conduct among family, friends, and relatives, building a successful \u201cModel Historical Site\u201d<\/em> in the commune and district. The model has practical significance, contributing to civilized behavior among site managers, locals, and visitors while showing respect for historical sites and enhancing their authentic values within the community.<\/p>\n

During the program, the District Women\u2019s Union also launched a core group of 10 members to promote the Code of Conduct at places of worship. The group\u2019s responsibilities include encouraging locals, buddhists, and visitors to follow Hanoi People\u2019s Committee\u2019s conduct guidelines, such as wearing appropriate attire, avoiding profanity, not bringing votive paper into temples, and maintaining cleanliness. Twenty families signed commitments to promote and practice public conduct rules, helping build civilized behavior at historical sites and expand the \u201cModel Historical Sites\u201d initiative to other locations in the commune.<\/p>\n

Participants heard Hoang Thu Hong – Standing Committee Member and Head of Propaganda Department of Hanoi Women\u2019s Union – present the basic contents of the Public Code of Conduct and criteria for building \u201cModel Historical Sites.\u201d<\/p>\n

This practical initiative highlights the role of the union and its female members in promoting cultural lifestyles and conduct rules while spreading women\u2019s behavioral culture throughout the community. In the future, Ung Hoa District Women\u2019s Union will continue expanding the model to other historical sites, contributing to the successful development of comprehensive human development and building an advanced Vietnamese culture rich in national identity.\/.<\/p>\n
