<\/p>\nWith the theme \u201cVietnam in the Era of Rising,\u201d the opening ceremony consisted of four parts: \u201cThe Voice of the Tinh Lyre,\u201d \u201cConverging and Shining Heritage,\u201d \u201cA Shared Belief,\u201d and \u201cThe Era of Rising of the Nation.\u201d The program aims to continue honoring, introducing, and promoting the cultural values of Vietnam, highlighting exemplary individuals from various ethnic groups across the country. It also seeks to spread the values of humanity, unity, mutual support, and patriotism of the Vietnamese people.<\/p>\n

The \u201cGreat Unity of Ethnic Groups – Vietnamese Cultural Heritage\u201d Week 2024 features a variety of activities, including exhibitions, displays, cultural spaces, re-enactments of unique ethnic festivals, folk music and dance performances, traditional costume showcases, and traditional sports competitions. Highlights include the Cultural Exchange Festival of the Northwest, Central Highlands, and Southwest ethnic groups, as well as the Then Singing and Tinh Lyre Art Festival of the Tay, Nung, and Thai ethnic groups. This unique cultural art form has been recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, with over 400 artisans and performers participating.<\/p>\n
This event, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in collaboration with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, celebrates the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18) and Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Day (November 23). It aims to strengthen the great unity of the nation under the leadership of the Communist Party while honoring and promoting Vietnam\u2019s traditional cultural values.<\/p>\n

In her speech, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy highlighted the diverse cultural and artistic activities of the event. She emphasized that the \u201cGreat Unity of Ethnic Groups – Vietnamese Cultural Heritage\u201d Week and the 7th Then Singing and Tinh Lyre Art Festival will provide valuable experiences for people and visitors, fostering a love for national culture and the homeland. These cultural values, forged through Vietnam\u2019s long history of nation-building and defense, are the foundation for confidently entering the \u201cNew Era – The Era of Rising of the Nation\u201d.<\/p>\n

In his directive speech at the program, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long emphasized that the spirit of great unity is a tradition and a precious cultural heritage of our nation. Over the years, organizing activities to commemorate the Great Unity Day of the entire nation has become a beautiful tradition, bringing the work of the Front closer to the community, reaching every family and individual, continuously building, consolidating, and promoting the people\u2019s right to mastery, strengthening the power of national unity, and enhancing the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.<\/p>\n
With a passionate love for the country, a spirit of unity, and a rich cultural history spanning thousands of years, the distinctive values of Vietnam\u2019s advanced culture, imbued with national identity, will continue to be built, preserved, and promoted. The bloc of national unity will be continuously strengthened, contributing significantly to socio-economic development, improving the material and spiritual life of the people, and leading the nation firmly into a new era, the era of rising.<\/p>\n
